Here comes a bragging moment:
On Saturday, we were at the grocery store. There was a man moving pallets of bottled drinks with a pallet moving machine (or whatever it is rightfully called) near the front entrance to the store. For whatever reason, the bottled drinks went a-tumbling and made a big mess right at the front entrance. Luckily, none of the bottles broke but there were hundreds of the bottles strewn about the front entrance to the store. My E noticed and suggested we help the man pick up the bottles. After we got down on the ground and started picking them up, a bunch of other customers and employees jumped in and began helping too. What could have taken one person a half hour or more to pick up was accomplished inside 5 minutes with the 8-10 people that joined that poor man who was probably bummed when it first happened, but delighted and grateful when the entrance was once again restored to its visible floor glory. I am still so very proud of my E for recognizing a moment of need and was ready to offer a helping a hand.
I will often reflect on how good-natured my daughter can be, but it gladdens my heart to no end to know that she is so good-hearted too!
