The Princess and the Frog

Today, E went to her first movie matinée. She was so excited. E was a little puzzled when the lights went out and commented on that and the fact that it was "a really big tv!". She loved the film despite some scary scenes (lots of handholding then) and was especially fond of the treats that go with movie watching: popcorn and candy. She still has a little to learn about movie watching, namely the keeping quiet part. Since "The Princess and the Frog" is one of the books I gave her for Christmas, she felt compelled to tell me what parts of the story were in the book and especially what parts were not. It was actually kind of cute to hear her nonchalantly proclaim "not" for the many musical numbers and plot embellishments. Next time, I will pick a movie where she does not know how it ends so we can all be surprised. :)
