skate day

Today, E has a skate day at school. Judging from the 3 other families at CT last night, she is not the only child on the rink today. We all had to run out to pick up winter helmets for our kids. Lucky for E, I managed to get the last white helmet (the rest were all black). This way, she can decorate it however she wants. Nice.

This is not E's first day this year on the ice however. A couple of weeks ago, my brother-in-law started making a beautiful backyard rink. E has been skating on it the last couple of weekends. She is not the most graceful skater, but J is teaching her and she is getting much better. J used to be a skating teacher so I am happy to let the pro do the job. :)
