We poked holes in the pieces and strung them together before adding another layer of papier maché. Similarly, we made a slit on each side of the head where the ears were inserted and again reinforced with papier maché.
I bunched up a little newspaper and put it where the bunny's nose would be and again it was covered in papier maché.
We drew up the eyes and mouth before gluing them to the head.
Then we covered the piñata in tissue. First using the pencil and glue method. Mom came over the night before the party to help finish it and she showed how she would just bunch up the tissue, dip it in glue and then stick it to the piñata, way faster!
The entire front is done with poofy tissue. The back and underneath have strips of tissue that have been cut to make frills. Those were glued on in record speed as it covered more surface area in a faster amount of time.
It was nice to finish off the bunny with pink pipe cleaner whiskers and a pretty pink ribbon.

Glad you like it! We are pretty pleased with how it turned out and the best of all is that the kids all loved it!!
We used regular party balloons, but blown up at different sizes. The biggest was used for the body, the second biggest for the head, the 2 third biggest for the bottom legs and the 2 smallest for the arms.
