the tree is down

It has been up for almost 3 weeks and stopped sucking up water a couple of days ago. It was time to bring it down before it let loose of all its needles. So after supper tonight, E and I took off all the ornaments. Most of the needles came off while squeezing it through the front door. We are keeping the rest of our Christmas decorations up until the new year, but the tree is now planted beside my front steps and looks pretty Christmassy out there. :)
